Police have questioned and released six men who were arrested in the waters off Kaloko-levu Village, outside Lami for allegedly illegally fishing within the villagers' customary fishing ground.
A Joint police and fisheries ministry operation arrested the group and the crew of three other fishing boats.
According to police the joint operation started following concerns by provincial councils regarding illegal fishing in customary fishing grounds.
More details are expected to be revealed later today.
