Police have raised concern on the increased number of fake notes in circulation in the country.
Assistant spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita said from January this year till to date, they have received a total of 70 fake notes in different denominations and two of these fake notes were in US currency.
He added that the most serious concern is that 47 fake notes were found in Suva alone, 13 in the western division and 1 in the northern division.
Corporal Tevita said their investigations are still continuing and has also urged the public to come forward with any information on those people who are circulating notes.
