Police have now classified the case of a 12-year-old girl as alleged murder who was found dead by her father at their home in Samabula on Sunday.
Police spokesperson Ana Naisoro confirmed this is after looking at the post mortem results this afternoon.
She added the parents were questioned yesterday as police investigations continue.
Police said the girl was alone at home while her father had gone to drop the girl’s mother at church.
Police said when the father returned, he noticed that his daughter was lying motionless in their home.
She was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead.
