Police have this morning clarified that the General Secretary of the Fiji Nursing Association was not interviewed by a Police Intelligence officer yesterday morning.
Spokesperson, ASP Ulaiyasi Ravula said the officer was just trying to gather some information about the strike and not to interview her as claimed by Kuini Lutua.
Ravula also said that police officers are posted in major hospitals to provide security. Police operations are being managed by Divisional Police Commanders.
He has highlighted that police presence in major hospitals and centres are not meant in any way to intimidate individuals.
Ravula has warned people intending to use the current impasse to further their criminal intentions that they will be dealt with according to law as they continue to constantly monitor the developments connected to the impasse.
