Police charge driver
He has been charged with causing death by dangerous driving and will appear in the Suva Magistrates court this morning.
Isireli Tuivanuavou of Nakasi was walking up through the World Harvest Center building towards Delainamasi Primary school when he was chased by two dogs.
He tried to escape from the dogs and in the process ran across the road and was bumped by an on-coming taxi.
Meanwhile, Police are trying to identify a man who was a passenger of a taxi that got involved in an accident on Reservoir road on Sunday morning.
Inspector Atunaisa Sokomuri said the man is currently in hospital and they are trying to identify him and are calling on members of the public to contact the nearest police station if a male relative has been missing since Friday.
Sokomuri added that the man has tattoos on his left arm, and if the description matches that of any of your male relative, police advise to contact the nearest police station.
