A number of raids were carried out by police last night as part of their investigations into the alleged plot to kill Interim Prime Minister, Commodore Frank Bainimarama, some senior military officials and some Interim cabinet ministers.

Assistant Police Commissioner Crime, Nasir Ali has confirmed that no arrests were made yesterday however police are gathering evidence before taking some more people in for questioning.

Ali said that his detectives are working around the clock to gather evidence and arrest those who are alleged to have been involved in the plot.

When questioned whether any more ammunitions were confiscated from anywhere, Ali did not reveal any information.

The ten accused in the assassination plot are this hour in the Suva Court awaiting a decision on their bail.
