Police are yet to receive the post mortem results of 5 year old Shavneet Kumar who died at the CWM Hospital after being in coma for eight days last month.

Director CID Waisea Vakamocea said they are conducting their own investigations and they have taken statements of a number of people.

He refused to reveal who was interviewed.

Vakamocea believes pathologists will soon hand over the post mortem results as some samples were also sent overseas for analysis.

Meanwhile, Shavneet's parents are expected to take legal action following the findings of the investigation. Shavneet, who was taken into the operation theatre to straighten his fractured arm went into a coma and was put on life support machine soon after and died eight days later.

Public Service Commission is also looking into the findings of the Health Ministry Independent Inquiry report into Shavneet's death.
