Police have arrested a youth who allegedly robbed a Japanese student in Lautoka this morning.
Divisional Crime Officer Western, Waisea Kadawa said that the girl was on her way back to school from town when two youths tried to grab her bag which resulted in the student falling and hurting herself.
The youths fled with her bag which had a digital camera, two mobile phones, an electronic dictionary, $200 cash and some and Japanese currency amounting to $1000 Fijian dollars.
The hunt for his accomplice is still underway.
