Police have revealed that the two bodies that were found in a mangrove swamp at Sovi Bay in Sigatoka on Monday had injuries and they are now treating the case as murder.

Deputy Director Operation SP Erami Raibe confirmed the post mortem examination had revealed that the 23-year-old woman died due to severe body and head injuries while the 24-year-old man had injuries to his neck.

According to Raibe, both were in a relationship.

Police Officers have also interviewed the parents of the two deceased and more interviews with them are expected today.

Police said it is too early to draw any conclusions at this stage. Both bodies were found a few meters away from each other.
