Police are expected to lay charges on 5 villagers of Vunaniu, Serua who are alleged to have erected a road block on Wednesday over a land dispute with the management of Matanipusi Eco Resort.
Landowners had erected a roadblock and demanded compensation from owner of the Resort for the use of the road as it was running through the landowner’s property.
According to police, the five are awaiting legal consultation with their lawyer before charges are laid.
