A team of 12 Police Officers are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 65 year old man whose body was found in a house in Nokonoko Street Laucala Beach this morning.

Valelevu Police Station Officer in Charge SP Manoj Singh said the body has been taken to the Suva Hospital and a post mortem is expected to be conducted tomorrow to determine the cause of death.

SP Singh added that crime scene area will remain cordoned until the post mortem is conducted.

Singh confirmed that police continue to interrogate a woman who is believed to have found the body lying in the kitchen.

A detective at the crime scene this morning confirmed that there were no signs of forced entry into the house.

Meanwhile, family of the deceased, who live a few houses away are in shock. Speaking to Fijivillage the daughter of the deceased alleged that they believe their father had been murdered.
