A 28 year old man of Viseisei, Vuda was sentenced to 6 years and six months in prison today after he pleaded guilty before Nadi Magistrate Laisa Laveti to charges of robbery with violence, criminal intimidation, stoning police officers and police vehicles.
The court heard that Aisea Turuva entered Sunseekers Motel on the 19th May, 2006 and threatened the staff before he stole $400 and a mobile phone valued at $200.
The court heard that the hotel staff called for the Police and Turuva threw stones at the Police before being arrested.
Turuva had previous convictions of similar nature.
