Labasa Police are seeking public assistance to locate 14 year old girl, Suragni Kumar of Nagata, Labasa who went missing on the first of this month.
Police have confirmed that Kumar was last seen with 17 year old Mohammad Shafil Khan, and both are students of a high school in Labasa.
Police say they are searching for Khan in relation to alleged defilement and abduction offences.
According to Police they have already interviewed Khan's parents who say they are unaware of their son's whereabouts.
Police have reminded the general public that it is an offence to harbour an under-aged girl without her parents' consent.
