A team of Police Officers from Suva and Nadi raided three houses in Nadi yesterday seizing dried leaves believed to be marijuana worth $10,000.
The Assistant Police PRO Corporal Suliano Tevita said the house of a 37 year old man of Meiguniya was raided and police found a packet of dried leaves. Later a house in Mulomulo was raided where dried leaves were found in a 20 litre ice-cream container with parcels and 13 rolls.
Corporal Tevita said another house belonging to a 42 year old man was searched and three packets, a plastic bag and a parcel of dried leaves were found.
He said all the three men have been questioned and released and will be charged after police gets the Government Analysis Report.
According to Corporal Tevita, all the raids were done after tip-offs and police are thankful to the people who provide them with such valuable information resulting in the drug raids and arrests.
