Fiji Times Editor Netani Rika said they have received threats from Police that their reporter, Serafina Salaitoga will be taken into custody if she continues refusing answering any questions on a particular news article that was published in yesterday's Fiji Times.

Rika confirmed Salaitoga is currently being questioned at the Labasa Police station.

According to Rika, their reporter had insisted on seeking legal advice on the matter but Police refused and went ahead with the questioning.

Rika said the questioning is in regards to the article in which former Labasa Mayor, Charan Jeet Singh had claimed that Interim Finance Minister, Mahendra Chaudhry has been told to leave the Interim Government.

Meanwhile, Police Spokesperson Ema Mua said she is unaware of any threats made by Police.
