Police are now questioning the owner of the truck whose driver was found transporting more than $100,000 worth of marijuana in the 10 wheeler truck in Seaqaqa.

Police Media Liaison Officer Atunaisa Sokomuri confirmed the truck owner went to the Seaqaqa police earlier in the day.

According to Sokomuri, the man with his solicitor flew from Nausori today and gave himself to police.

Investigations so far have revealed that a network of people are operating both in Vanu Levu and in Viti Levu to transport the drugs to and from different locations around Fiji.

In the Eastern Division, police are still questioning an Asian national from Natovi, Tailevu who is suspected of supplying marijuana to Secondary School students, people in Ovalau, Suva and even to Vanualevu.

Sokomuri said the 45 year old man is believed to have been the main drug peddler in Natovi and was under police surveillance for some time.
