Valelevu Police are questioning a Sakoca man who allegedly raped a 24 year old woman inside his house yesterday.

Police Media Liasion officer Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the victim and her husband who are from Suva went to drink grog at the suspect's house when the alleged incident took place.

It is alleged that the three were drinking grog and when the grog finished the suspect insisted that he wants to drink some more.

The suspect and the victim's husband then went out looking for grog. It is allged that the suspect told the man to wait outside a neightbour's house while he will look for some grog.

Sokomuri said the suspect then allegedly went back to his house and raped the woman who was sleeping at the time.

He is expected to be charged soon.
