Police in the western division have arrested a 36 year old woman from Tonga for allegedly defrauding and stealing more than 100,000 US dollars from a bank in Tonga.
The woman allegedly stole the money from the bank she was working for was arrested in a hotel in Nadi after a request from Tongan police.
The woman was about to leave for Samoa when she was arrested yesterday afternoon and police also recovered some of the stolen money.
She is expected to be deported back to Tonga today to answer to the allegations.
