Police are monitoring 2 separate land disputes to ensure that landowners do not take the law into their own hands.
According to police, landowners from Vunaniu in Serua had erected a roadblock and demanded compensation from the owner of Matanivusi Beach Echo Resort for the use of the road, as it was running through the landowner's property.
Landowners have agreed to open the road however, talks are continuing.
Meanwhile, talks between Kalabu Landowners and the Native Lands Commission were held last Friday which has been deferred to the 6th of next month.
