Police have laid charges on the two escapees who are alleged to have been involved in the Total Service Station in Raiwaqa on Saturday night.
Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita confirms that Viliame Gauna and Sitiveni Baleisomosomo have been charged with robbery and violence, damaging property and escaping from lawful custody. The two have been taken back to prison where they will be appearing in court at a later date.
Meanwhile, Police have not been able to identify the man who was a victim of the fatal hit and run accident in Lovu Lautoka on Sunday night.
Police are now urging members of the public to come forward if a member of their family has been missing.
According to Police the man was walking along the road when he was hit and people living the neighbourhood who heard the sound came to rescue the man but by then the driver had fled the scene.
