A total of 80 drivers have been arrested and charged for drunk driving during police operations even before Christmas.
Senior officers at the Traffic Department have confirmed that these drivers were arrested throughout Fiji at various checkpoints and highways.
A number of drivers have also been booked for speeding.
Police have warned members of the public that anyone found drunk driving will have to spend this year’s Christmas in police custody.
