Police are investigating three robberies with violence over the weekend which saw a group of 5 men involved in all three.
Police PRO ASP Ulaiasi Ravula said 5 men entered a business director’s house forcefully at Princess Road, Tamavua, and walked away with jewellery and cash worth more than $40,000 Saturday night.
The same night around 10.30, a group of 5 men robbed a 42 year old businesswoman and her husband at Leka Lane in Lautoka of $2000 cash while the couple was on their way home.
A night later, 5 men robbed a 27 year old housewife of Lakeba Street, Samabula, of items worth more than $12,000 while she was alone in the house with her 5 month old son.
ASP Ravula said police are currently trying to determine whether the 5 were involved in all three robberies or different groups are involved.
