Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 21 year old man whose body was found floating in a river in Tailevu yesterday afternoon.
A villager who was passing by the Lawaki River saw the body and alerted other villagers who then reported the matter to police.
According to Assistant spokesperson Corporal Suliano Tevita, the deceased was reported missing on Monday and his body was recovered yesterday.
The post mortem is expected to be conducted tomorrow.
