Police investigators have prepared their preliminary report in relation to the case where a student of Marist Brothers High School died last Friday.
Director CID Waisea Vakamocea said police have interviewed a number of students and teachers on how 18 year old Peni Tubukolo died.
Vakamocea said initial investigations show the student was sitting on a pipe holding the clothesline and talking to his two friends who were inside the room. The welding of the pipe broke and Tubukolo fell on the cement.
He said the post mortem result shows Tubukolo died due to head injuries due to the impact of the fall.
Tubukolo fell from the third floor of the school's boarding hostel, the Ratu Mara hostel, last week.
