Police are investigating a case where a 57 year old farmer from Labasa who allegedly raped a form three student, was later found dead yesterday afternoon.
Police have confirmed they received the complaint yesterday afternoon and when their officers went looking for the man, he was found dead in his house.
Police said the man had earlier served a 5 year term in prison for raping his daughter in law.
Police said the deceased allegedly raped the girl while she was studying in her house.
Meanwhile, police are looking for a man from Bulileka, Labasa, who allegedly stoned a 50 year old man yesterday afternoon.
Police said the victim received serious injuries and has been admitted in a critical condition at the Labasa hospital.
It is believed the incident happened after an argument started between the two neighbours yesterday afternoon.
