A team of police officers have started investigation to determine how escapee Josefa Baleiloa received serious injuries when recaptured last week.
Baleiloa who was recaptured by a group of police officers from the strike back team in Cunningham road has been admitted at the CWM hospital on live support machine and his state has not improved.
Police Spokesperson Ema Mua said they will not tolerate any brutality and investigations will determine if Police Officers had assaulted him.
Baleiloa remains admitted under heavy Police guard.
Meanwhile, Dwayne Hicks who fled from a working party from Natabua Prison last week was also recaptured in Lautoka on Friday night.
