Police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 21-year-old Japanese student whose body was found floating near Bounty Island yesterday.
Media Liaison Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri had confirmed that the deceased was at a picnic with 14 other students when he was discovered missing at around 2pm.
A search was conducted and his body was found floating a few meters away from the picnic spot.
A post mortem will be conducted today.
