Police are investigating a break-in at a duty free shop located at the Nausori Airport Terminal building over the weekend.
Divisional Police Commander Eastern, SSP Emosi Baleinuku has confirmed the thieves stole cash, liquor, cigarettes and other expensive items including perfumes worth thousands of dollars.
Thieves gained entry into the shop after breaking the front door.
Nausori Police are trying to determine how the thieves gained entry into the Terminal building since a police post is also located in the building.
No arrests have been made and police have warned members of the public to refrain from buying stolen items, as the expensive perfumes and liquor will be sold by thieves at a much cheaper price during the festive season.
