Police are investigating the death of a nine-month-old baby at his home last night.

Deputy Divisional Crime Officer ASP Waisea Kadawa said Krishneel Singh of Saweni Lautoka was found dead by his parents at about 11pm.

He said a post mortem will be conducted soon to ascertain the cause of the baby's death. ASP Kadawa said police have also given the powdered milk the baby drank to the pathologist for further analysis.

Meanwhile, a 6-week-old baby died yesterday in Nadera a short while after he was breastfeed.

The Divisional Crime Officer Sourthern, ASP Keshri Lal, said the baby's post mortem report showed that the milk blocked his windpipe resulting in his death.

Another 3-week-old baby died on Monday in Nakasi a short while after being breastfed.
