Navua police have interviewed and released five landowners from Vunaniu, Serua, who allegedly erected a roadblock and demanded compensation from the owner of Matanivusi Beach Eco Resort for the use of the road.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said they took the five men into custody last week and they are expected to be charged tomorrow.
Sokomuri said they have managed to resolve the matter and the five will appear in court soon.
The five allegedly erected the roadblock claiming the road was running through their village and they needed to be compensated.
