Police have identified the four deceased who were passengers in the mini bus that was involved in the horrific road accident in Savutalele Tacirua yesterday afternoon.

Police Spokesperson, Atunaisa Sokomuri said the post mortem of the deceased is expected to be conducted today and tomorrow. Sokomuri also said they are still interviewing some people.

A woman who was a passenger in the Mini bus is admitted in critical condition at the CWM Hospital. According to Police the four died at the scene of the accident after a PWD truck collided head on with the mini bus.

Meanwhile, the National Road Safety Council said the national road death toll is now 56 compared to 51 for the same period last year and we do not want this to increase, especially with the current weather patterns, the end of the school year and the festive season approaching.

Executive Director Akapusi Tuifagalele who said drivers must not speed while using the roads, adding that this may have been the case off the accident that claimed four lives yesterday.
