Police are looking for a villager of Rabi Island who allegedly defiled a 12 year old student last month.
Divisional Crime Officer Northern ASP Luke Rawalai confirms this incident happened in a village settlement.
He said the suspect is closely related to the victim who is a class 6 student.
The victim has being medically examined with no injuries on her body. Police have urged members of the public to come forward if they have any information.
