Police are hunting for a man who broke into a house in a village in Rewa and allegedly indecently assaulted the 42 year old owner before robbing her.

Assistant Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri has confirmed that the 42 year old woman was sleeping when the man allegedly broke into the house, ate food worth $50 and later robbed her off cash and jewelry before indecently assaulting her.

The man fled when the victim's son raised the alarm.

The victim received some injuries during the attack.

Police are calling for information about the incident which might lead to his arrest.
