The Police Force today received a timely boost in the form of food vouchers from the Kentucky Fried Chicken Company in support of the Scholastic Crime Stoppers Program for Secondary Schools in the Central Division.
General Manager, Ferry Gunawan said the KFC is happy to be a part of the Program as the vouchers will be used as rewards within the schools on correct crime reports.
Director Uniform Operation, SSP Waisea Tabakau said the program needs as much support as possible.
The Scholastic program is one where the students themselves are involved in preventing crime in their own schools, whereby a Board is set up consisting of the students and if a crime is reported to them and the report is correct, then a reward is given to the student.
The offender will be dealt with by the school management and if beyond their control then it is reported to police.
