The Fiji Police Force has requested a substantial amount of money from the interim government for the development and training of officers in next year's budget.
Spokeswoman Ema Mua said in its budget submission they have requested for extra funds to upgrade and enhance the skills of officers which in turn will help them solve some major pending cases.
When questioned by Fijivillage on whether they have requested for more funds to purchase and upgrade vehicles, Mua said they are coping well with the vehicles they currently have.
