Police have confirmed that the Police Crusade is part of their Community Policing Program and is here to stay.
Director Police Operations SSP Waisea Tabakau said there have been a lot of negative reports about the Crusade, stating the top brass of the force are forcing religion on their officers as well as the Public.
Tabakau said what people should understand is that they have a Community Policing Program in place, and this year they are implementing the program through the Crusade.
Tabakau added during the first five months of this year, they have recorded a 26% reduction in crime rate compared to the same period last year and they have attributed the drop to the Crusade.
