A Police Corporal charged with 42 counts of Larceny by Servant and Forgery appeared in the Suva Magistrates court this morning.
The court heard that Corporal Dharmendra Gounder allegedly pocketed allowances given to CID officers in the Southern Division.
It is alleged that between January and October this year, Gounder allegedly obtained thousands of dollars by forging the payment vouchers.
He was represented by Mehabob Raza and the matter has been adjourned till 3rd February next year.
