The Police Drug Unit together with the Dog Unit raided three places in the Central Division and confiscated a large number of dried leaves believed to be marijuana.

The officers were also accompanied by the Police Strike Back team.

Officer-In-Charge of the Police Strike Back Team, SP Luke Navela confirmed that two raids were carried out this morning while the third raid was done yesterday afternoon.

The team raided the house of a 42-year-old in Nasole and confiscated a plastic bag of dried leaves with twenty sachets wrapped in a plastic bag. The man is currently being questioned at the Valelevu Police Station.

Another raid was carried out at a house in Nanuku Settlement Vatuwaqa this morning and the owner was also taken in for questioning.

Meanwhile, the team also raided a house in Delai-Nasole. The street value of the dried leaves confiscated at this house is about $1,500.
