With the change of leadership in the Fiji Police Force, the focus now is to ensure that the members of the public trust the officers and know without any doubt that the force will look after everyone in the country.
Police spokesperson, Fred Elbourne said Police Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua knows that this requires the Police Officers to be honest with their work and to follow all their ethics.
Fijivillage also questioned Elbourne on what the members of the public should do if the Police Officers are found to be breaching their code of ethics and are not providing the expected standard of services that they should.
He said the Commissioner is now working on a plan in relation on this issue and the public should expect an announcement soon.
Since Brigadier General Naivalurua took over the position, he has been advising officers to ensure that they are providing their services as professionals, and be part of an effective and efficient Police Force.
