Seventy youths from around the Northern, Eastern and Central/Eastern Divisions will gather at the Police academy in Nasova for a National Youth Summit which the Police Commissioner Brigadier General Iowane Naivalurua will officially open today.

The Summit will serve as a platform for the establishment of an independent National Youth Council which will include staging of the elections of interim NYC members, presentation of a draft constitution, election for a subcommittee to finalize the draft constitution and consultation on the National youth policy.

The two day summit is organized by the Department of Youth and Sports and participants will also join the Fiji Day march scheduled for Thursday morning through Suva City from the flea market to Albert Park.
