The Police Commissioner Esala Teleni has chosen to remain quiet for now, on the issue of Nasir Ali and his allegations.
A press release by the Office of the Police Commissioner stated the Police Commissioner will not make any premature statements at this stage as the allegations made against the Commissioner's Office, the Deputy Police Commissioner, Eroni Antonio and Nasir Ali himself are very serious.
It said the Commissioner will further his investigations internally before he makes a public statement on the Nasir Ali matter.
In a memo given out yesterday, Ali questioned Antonio's decision to demote him and send him to Levuka stating that he is only responsible to the Police Commissioner and no one else.
Ali had also claimed Antonio has a personal grudge against him alleging Antonio was only protecting corrupt officers from investigations against them, which is why Antonio came to the conclusion of sending Ali to Levuka.
