The Police Commissioner Esala Teleni signed an amended contract earlier today after the Constitutional Officers Commission made changes to his contract as Police Commissioner.
Chairman of the Constitutional Officers Commission Rishi Ram confirmed to Village news in the last hour that the two parties signed the amended contract this morning.
Ram said while the details of the amendments are confidential, he can confirm that Teleni's remuneration package is similar to that of other local former police commissioners.
When contacted by Village news, Teleni said the details of his contract is a personal matter between him and the Constitutional Officers Commission and we or the public don't need to know.
