Police Commissioner, Brigadier General Ioane Naivalurua is expected to meet with his officers based at the Suva court house this morning to review their operations.

Chief Operations Officer ACP Rusiate Tudravu said the Police Commissioner is really disappointed as 34 year old Josua Naivalu escaped from their custody at the Suva Magistrates court on Tuesday after he was sentenced to 10 months imprisonment for burglary and theft.

Tudravu had admitted that they failed in their duty.

Tudravu said a special task force team has been set up to recapture Naivalu and there is no excuse for what happened.

He said an internal investigation is currently being conducted to determine what happened.

Members of the public are once again being requested to contact 917 or their nearest community post or station with information that could help locate Naivalu.

Naivalu on the 18th of April this year broke into Fong Lee Seafood restaurant in Suva and stole items valued at $850.
