Police Commissioner, Commodore Esala Teleni made a surprise visit at around 3am this morning to officers mending various checkpoints in the greater Suva area.
Commodore Teleni said he visited the officers to boost their morale and see that they are vigilant at the checkpoints.
The Commissioner said he is very surprised that nothing major happened on the New Years Eve except some drivers being taken into custody for drunk driving.
