Police are expected to lay charges on a 25 year old man who is alledged to have raped a 29 year old woman in Vuda point road early Friday morning.

Police Media Liason Officer, Atunaisa Sokomuri confirms that the suspect is expected to be charged by tomorrow morning, and will be produced in Lautoka Magistrate Court.

Police say the woman was walking home around 2.30 in the morning when the incident took place.

It is alledged that the man was following the woman from behind and after sometime he dragged her to a nearby bush and allegedly raped her.

Meanwhile Police are investigating the discovery of a $50 dollar counterfeit note that was given to a cashier of MH Flagstaff yesterday.

Sokomuri said the note was given to the cashier by a nightclub owner who purchase carton of beer from the supermarket.
