Police are awaiting the post mortem report of a 42 year old farmer of Tavua who was found dead a few metres away from him home.

Assistant Spokesperson, Corporal Josaia Weicavu has confirmed that the deceased left home to graze his bullocks when he was discovered missing.

As search was conducted, his body was found dead by the family members.

Meanwhile, police are investigating the death of a 46 year old farmer of Lautoka whose body was found floating in Navula river yesterday.

Police believe that the man tried to cross a flooded river when he got washed away by strong current.

His body was found floating in the river by a 33 year old student.

Police have again called on the members of the public not to try and cross flooded rivers and streams.
