Police say they will wait until the Pilot recovers before they question him in relation to the helicopter crash off Uduya Point Lami yesterday morning.

Assistant Police Spokesperson, Corporal Jo Weicavu said the pilot is recovering at home and will be questioned later.

Two Island Hopper Helicopters were flying to Nausori from Nadi and it is believed that due to bad weather conditions one helicopter crashed into the sea. The Pilot managed to escape unharmed.

Meanwhile, a 33 year man is now recovering in hospital after he was hit by a taxi last night.

Assistant Police Spokesperson Corporal Joe Weicavu said the victim was trying to cross the road at Victoria Parade when he was hit by a taxi driven by a 45 year old taxi driver.

The driver has been questioned and released while police are awaiting examination result.
