Labasa police are awaiting a detailed report from the CWM Hospital on the medical condition of a primary school student of Labasa who was allegedly beaten by her teacher with a blackboard ruler.
According to police, the teacher will be questioned once they get the detailed medical report.
The student was airlifted to Suva from the Labasa hospital after her condition deteriorated.
It is alleged the teacher beat her after she failed to answer some questions.
It has also being established that the child vomited blood soon after she was beaten by the blackboard ruler.
