Police are now waiting for the report from the National Fire Authority on what could have caused the fire at the PAFCO cold storage facility building in Levuka at around 11.30 this morning.
Police spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said police investigations will get underway once they have received the report from the National Fire Authority.
Sokomuri confirmed that the factory is still operating.
Meanwhile, Sokomuri added that they are also awaiting reports on the cause of fire that destroyed a four bedroom house at Cheng Place, Raiwai, this morning.
Reid added that the fire hydrant near the house was defective.
Owner Samisoni Bale said he was inside the house with his wife and two grandchildren when the fire started.
They managed to escape without injury.
