Police are assisting the Quarantine and Customs Department to investigate the importation of illegal goods into the country.
Spokesperson Atunaisa Sokomuri said their operations are ongoing which has been successful so far.
He added they are gathering more information on a number businesses who allegedly illegally brought food items from China which were confiscated by the Quarantine Department earlier this week.
Sokomuri said 2 weeks ago customs and police officers seized liquor and cigarettes which were of loaded from a ship into smaller ships to take to ashore the Kings wharf.
